Saturday 17th November saw our London stage crew team at Wembley Arena for the Andy C All Night show.
This was a special show for a number of reasons. Firstly, Andy’s biggest headline show to date, with a sell out crowd of 6000 in attendance. Also, it marks the first time that Wembley Arena has held an all night show, with the gig running from 10pm – 5am.
The gig comes off the back of a string of landmark shows for Andy C having already sold out Alexandra Palace, Brixton Academy and a 13 week residency in the more intimate surrounds of London club XOYO.
The show sold out in just 3 days, which only added to the sense of occasion and the excitement on social media before and after the event.
Such an important show required a great level of production, and Bryte Designs did not disappoint with an epic layout of hi res video panels and state of the art lighting fixtures. The design creatively framed the turntables both onstage and all the way through the arena. Video was supplied by 80six, and lighting and rigging by PRG.
Capital Audio brought in both MLA and MLA Compact for the PA hangs, along with 16 MLA subs, which gave the show an amazing sound to match the quality of the visuals.
Continuing our relationship with promoter Lock N Load, we were happy to be asked to provide the stage crew for this show, and help deliver this historic event. Lock N Load left us this feedback “Great job at Wembley as always, especially with the challenging 5am finish. Look forward to seeing the team on our next show.”
The 5am finish at Wembley Arena has undoubtedly been made more possible by the introduction of 24hr NightTube on Fridays and Saturdays on the Jubilee Line. This also makes the job more possible for stage hand suppliers like ourselves, cutting down journey times across London to meet these late finishes, or indeed early starts.
